Christina Papadopoulos, Psy.D

Dr. Papadopoulos is a clinical psychologist licensed in both Connecticut and New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree in film studies from Columbia University. After several years working as a cake decorator, she decided to return to school in order to explore other interests and earned her master’s degree in general psychology from NYU. She then went on to complete her doctorate in clinical psychology at Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.

She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the St. Louis Psychology Internship Consortium where she worked with individuals across the lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing therapy and evaluation services. Dr. Papadopoulos went on to complete a post-doctoral residency at the Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified health center with locations across Connecticut.

There she provided individual therapy services to clients across the lifespan and continued on staff, providing therapy to underserved populations and working within an integrated healthcare setting. Dr. Papadopoulos currently works with adult clients, offering individual therapy and psychological evaluation services. She has training in both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic modalities and values a person-centered approach to treatment in order to best fit her clients’ needs. Her areas of particular interest include working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and women’s issues.
