Dr. Lovejoy completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He completed is doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Virginia Consortium (College of William & Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University). Dr. Lovejoy completed his residency in clinical psychology at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Hartford Hospital & the Institute of Living.
Dr. Lovejoy is board certified in neuropsychology and has published broadly in the areas of adult and pediatric neuropsychology, forensic assessment, disability, brain imaging, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Lovejoy has held leadership roles with regard to postdoctoral training in neuropsychology, clinical psychology and health psychology.
He has also directed programs that have focused on traumatic brain injuries, stroke, tumors, learning disabilities, disability evaluation and neuropsychological aspects of awake brain mapping/surgery.
Dr. Lovejoy has served as an expert witness in both civil and criminal forensic courts and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine & Traumatology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
